上禮拜五我們到了賽倫賽思特參加一個小展覽叫"the best of Britain"
原因是，我跟為淳的明信片很幸運的入選了
We went to Cirencester to attend a little exhibition called "best of Britain".
Cause me and Wei-Chun's postcards are fortunately selected.
賽倫賽思特是個建於古羅馬時代的城市，曾是個重要樞紐
比較起其他英國古城，這裡的建築顯得別具特色，多為石造
Cirencester used to be an important town in ancient Roman .
Thus , comparing to other british historical town, the architecture here has a slightly different exterior. Most of buildings are built by stone.
聖約翰浸信會教堂
關於她的歷史，最早可以追朔到羅馬時代，並且部份的建築體是建於諾曼王朝時期
也就是說，所有在這裡的一切都頗富歷史意義
舉例來說，光是這根柱子就矗立在這達六百年之久了
在這裡工作的一位女士還建議我們用雙手去觸摸感受她們的淵源歷史
This is The Church of St. John Baptist . About its history, you can date back to the ancient Roman,
also, there has some part of building were built in Norman period. As you can tell everything here is quite historical.
For example, this pillar has been standing at here for almost 600 hundred years already.
The lady who works for this church even suggested us to touch those pillars and feeling its splendid history by hands.
教堂後邊有一個靜謐的小墓園，是個很理想的沈思寂聊天據點
當我們走進時，已經有一對女孩坐在張凳子上聊天了
A tranquil cemetery which is right behind the church. It's a ideal place for people who wanna do nothing but sit on a bench chatting with friends or thinking.
As we walked in, there already had two girl sit on a bench and chatting with each other.
一個很舒適的散步小徑，小溪的水流好清澈
A cosy walk , and the current of this brook was so clean.
每一位經過這條小徑的居民都會上前拍拍Amigo的鼻子跟她打招呼歐！
Every inhabitants who pass by this walk will tap Amigo's nose greeting to her！
這就是展覽本身啦！今年是英國女王即位六十週年紀念(1952-2012)，全英國各地紛紛舉辦大大小小的慶祝活動或展覽來紀念，而Corinium博物館則是用比賽加展覽的方式來慶祝這個大事件，每一位參賽者都被邀請來參加這個開幕酒會，而這也是我們拜訪這的目的
This is what the exhibition about. This year is the Diamond Jubilee of the queen (1952-2012) , there has lots of celebrations in the whole nation, so the Corinium Museum host a competition called The Best of Britain to celebrate this great event.
and every competitors were invited to attend this private opening. That's the reason why we were here :)
有許多的小鎮居民盛裝出席，他們看來皆為著可以參與這個盛會而感到非常興奮及光榮
Lots of residents attend this opening party, you can see everyone all dress up . They all seemed so exciting and honor to be as a part of this event

they actually printed it out as a card to sell, I feel quite surprise and happy
這個旅行非常的充實，雖然說我錯過了早上八點的第一班車，等了五個多小時才等到下一班，但我還是覺得值得
因為這裡的一切包括人們的確使我的緊張情緒和鄉愁舒緩不少
It's a substantial trip for me..even though I missed the first couch at 8 am and have to wait for another 5 hours to get the second one, but I just felt that it's worthy to go there ~ cus the people and everything there do release my tension form routine work and homesickness ~
